[Link] I'm aware of the cardboard/cockroach issue but haven't seen any specific reference to the cardboard rolls that foil, saran, paper towels and toilet tissue are wrapped around. Do you advise eliminating these, and if so, how do you store those items aboard your sailing yacht?.......

Questions regarding communications while sailing and food preparation.
[Link] What did you use for communications while sailing? Did you have a satellite phone? We have a laptop, while we are at sea, do you have any suggestions for internet access ( I know this can get vastly expensive, where do you draw the line at spending?). A further simple question. In the the Caribbean, what is the best way to clean fruit & vegetables? I am really looking forward to the markets, but am skeptical about the flies that may (or may not) be crawling over them....
